Tierarzt kosten? (vet cost)

Hi!
Sorry for writing this message in English. I've been here for only 1yr and I'm still learning German. ^^
I have a 7 yr old dog and I'm planning on taking him to the vet (Tierarzt) soon. And I want to know how much it usually cost to get vaccinations (Rabbies, HWC, DHPP) and a heartworm check up. It doesn't have to be exact. I just wanna know the average cost in Germany.
It's my first time taking him to a hospital in Germany. So.. I kinda have no idea. -_-;;

Hi sweet1004,

that is different from veterinary to veterinary. Here in germany, we haven´t uniform price.

For the large vaccination (SHP + LT) you must count between 35,-- - 55,-- Euro. No guarantee! ;-)

But without PI (Parainfluenza)! That is unnecessary, because the vaccine does not protect against Parainfluenza, - there are different viruses and bacteria connections. (The dog can get Parainfluenza although inoculated against it!)

I recommend to call different veterinary and ask for the prices.

I called the vet near by my house and set up an appointment.
I'm taking him today. hehe
My dog has been coughing for last 2 days and I think he has a kennel cough. also he needs some vaccinations. hehe
I live in Hamburg. ^^
