Good evening @ all
That sounds great with your exams, Turtle ;) Congratulations, i hope you get a good grade (is grade the right word?)
We hat a little oral test every week in english-lessons. But not all the people, just 2 or 3 which ur the lucky ones (or not).
But we don't only had to learn english to german vocabulary, we also hat to learn the latin words. And that was difficault for me. I can't remember the latin words.
It was good for me, that I wasn't asked.
This week we had to learn vocabularys about the laboratory and the different tenses :silence: and we write a test, not only a oral exam for a few people.
But the good thing: it't the only test this week
I also like waffles, but I can't make them (Yes, waffles is a english word ;)). I like them a little bit chrispy, but when I make some, they are too soft for me.
Yesterday I made vegan spaghetti bolognese. It was yummy :p
Also yesterday my brother came to say hello and get me 153 Mon Cherie. I love this sweet sin  But my dad only gave me some per day, so I can't eat too much of them every day.
In the next days, I want to start to eat only vegan food. I order the book "vegan for fit" from Attila Hildmann. When I get it, I order some things too cook (we haven't got shops here, so I had to order many things on the internet) and then I can start.
I hope, that my skin will also get better when I eat vegan things. I have acne for years and since one year I get pills and other things, but it didn't really help. When it doesn't get better the next few week I had to go to the hospital to let it operate :(
Greetings
Jessica

Would you mind if I correct you ?

We hat a little oral test every week in english-lessons
You have this test every week, so you have to use "have". "We HAVE a little oral test every week. ;)

I also like waffles, but I can't make them (Yes, waffles is a english word ;)). I like them a little bit chrispy, but when I make some, they are too soft for me.
Keep them for 2-3minutes and turn the heat as hot as possible, i also like them crunchy.

EDIT (automatische Beitragszusammenführung)

I want waffles, and I want them NOW ! But the waffle pastry is already gone
Any volunteer making me some waffle pastry ? Or a recipe for 10 waffles in 10 minutes ?

I'm so happy, I cant express in words how happy I am at the moment!
Last year in summer or autumn I took 4 guinea pigs out of a foster home, one mother with her 2 daughters and another female guinea pig, named Neomi.
And Noemi is very jumpy and fearful. When there is some unknown noise or a fast movement she run and hide.
And today it was the first day she took a peace of food out of my hands! :040:
I had to deter me not to cry out loud! (or to not cry out loud? :eusa_think:)
Oh I'm so incredibly happy! I hope it happens often now!

So, now back to topic.
It doesn't matter how long the waflles are baking, the get black, but they're too soft :(
I heard from IHOP, but I didn't ever see one here.
Is there an IHOP anywere in Germany?

Greetings
Jessica

Hello at all,

my name is Meike. I´m 25 years old.
Sometimes I have to speak english in my job. I understand everything, but if I have to speak or to write something, I will consider the grammar and vocabulary. That worries so.

I will introduce myself and my pets:D

You can see above my text my name and my age. My actual job is technical product designer. It´s a quite young education. I think you can learn it since five or six years:eusa_think:. I´m living in Calberlah. A village in the near of Gifhorn and Wolfsburg.

My three Degus Jule, Pauline and Shy are living in my flat, too. My Pony Angie, called Teufelchen, because sometimes she has an behaviour like an little devil, lives on a farm in the same village like me :D. So I can walk or take my bycicle to visit her. She LOVES bananas! If she is tied and I show her a banana, she becomes a little bit crazy and tries to break free.

So, I will finish my description about me. I think, in the text are enough mistakes ;)

"not to cry out loud" should be right, I think :)
And it's piece - peace is the opposite of war ;)
And congratulations, such moments are always amazing.

If anyone makes waffles, send some to Canada for me - unfortunately hostels don't have waffle makers

Meike, does "I think, in the text are enough mistakes" mean you want them to be corrected? If so I'll do my best:
Hello at all - at all has a different meaning in English. You say for examle "nothing at all" (überhaupt nichts)
My actual job - current would be the right word here
I think you can learn it since five or six years - You are refering to a period of time, so you have to use for. And the tense is incorrect to, I'd write something like "it's been available for five or six years" (but I'm not perfectly sure wether available is the right word in this context)
A village in the near of - near to
in the same village like me - as me

And since everyone is introducing himself, I guess I should do that, too.
I'm Vanessa and I'm 19 years old. And I have two ferrets: Shiva and Gismo.
2012 I finished school and since December I'm in Canada to do some work and travel.
Now that I have to talk English more than ever before (even if in the hostels at least half of the guests are German) I have to admit that it's way more difficult to talk in English than just writting it. You simply have to think of so many things at the same time: The grammar, the vocabulary and obviously what you want to say

@Jessica: There is unfortunately no IHOP in Germany.
Vanessa that sounds great... a work and travel in Canada. How long can you stay? Where are you at?

and yes... available is the right word.

Maybe I should introduce myself too.
My name is Sophia, I am 16 years old, i have 3 cats, Paulina, Oskar and Lilly. Lilly is 7 years old and thus the eldest. I am afraid she could get chronical renal insufficiency (Niereninsuffizienz).
I live in Salzburg/Austria but I go to school in Styria. So I'm in a boarding school (Internat ?). Every second Saturday I have school, then I stay in boarding school.
When I am at home and I see my cat I always think she looks a bit thin and ill and she sleeps very often. I don't know If I just imagine that or If it's real.
I am really afraid it could be too late when I am realizing whats going on.

That sounds interesting. Do you share a room with somebody?

Hi guys! What a good idea! It's a very good exercise for me to write here with you! Because my English isn't very good and next Thursday we have an English exam.
So, my name is Jessy and I'm from Switzerland! :) I have a hamster with the name Mira! I like English but I have a big problem with the verbforms...so, I always do a bit mess with these forms...:uups:
But I think English is very important, because in my class we have an exchange student from China and last year we had one from Canada, so without English you have a big problem to have a conversation. ;) And in the summer my little sister is going to make an exchange year so I must learn English because when she come back perhaps she have forgotten how to speak Swissgerman!

That sounds interesting. Do you share a room with somebody?
If that one was for me, yes I share a room with somebody. There are rooms for 3, 4 and 6 Persons. The 3 persons share a room, and a bathromm. The 4 persons have 2 rooms, so there are always 2 and 2 in a room and the 4 only share the bathroom. By the 6 person room are also 2 rooms shared by 3 perople.

And in the summer my little sister is going to make an exchange year so I must learn English because when she come back perhaps she have forgotten how to speak Swissgerman!
"must" means "dürfen", so you have to say "have to".
"He, She, It das -s- muss mit" ;)
When you have a sentence with He, She or It in the Present you have to add a "s". Like: I have to learn english because when she comes back perhaps she has forgotten...

;))

@Sophia, so with how many do you share your room? Are you home sick sometimes? How far is it from Salzburg? I know, so many questions:D.

"have to" ist glaube ich eher ein Befehl und "must" ist eher das man etwas sollte... (We have learned it this way...)
ups.. sometimes I forget this...:uups: it's an "Escape-mistake"

But thank you for correcting my sentences! ;) (is this correct? :uups::mrgreen:)
