Hello out there :006:
What's going on?
The stress in school is over now, the holidays are here :D so I have time to write here again.
And I have time for cooking.
Today I made a vegan döner (is this also the english word?).
It was so delicious.
Tomorrow I make Donauwelle. If I can get out of the bed. Because I had to work till mitnight today:?
That's why I have to go now.
Greetings
Jessica

That was a great week!
And next one will be even greater, on wednesday I drive to my dad and thursday morning we drive to germany (ansbach) to my grandmother. My uncle has 5 horses in his private stable so i can go riding.

Hello at all :D
My vaccation will be 2 weeks. I don't have many plans for my free time.
I want to make a fitness-vaccation  I didn't have much time to do sports on schooldays. So now I have time for some fitness-workout. Today I started with jogging. Also the weather wasn't that good. It was cold and rainy, but I like to run anyway.
I also want to cook many delicious things in the holidays. I buyed a new vegan cookbook, so I have enough recepts.
I can't made the Donauwelle today :( First my dad cleaned the aquarium. He has changed the water, so I haven't got water. And then he cooked. And he didn't like it, when someone is in the kitchen when he is cooking, because our kitchen is really small.

Gratulation for your 1, Sofi. I "only" got a 1- in the last english test. One part of it was vocabulary. I lost a half point here, because I translated a singular word with a plural word.
The other part where translation from english to german. I didn't know all the vocabulary from the text, so I also lost some points here.
There are 6 other test we wrote in the last weeks but I didn't have the results of them.
Has anyone else easter vaccation now?
Greetings
Jessica

Thank you ;)
We also had vocabulary from a text to learn for this test ^^

My runner duck finally laid an egg! We waited so long for this. Yesterday she made a nest. And I am so happy to have the first egg. She doesn't breed it, but that is okay because she is pretty young, i think it is the first time she laid an egg. Maybe she starts breeding when she has more eggs.

I really hope we get little ducks soon because there a foxes in the woods and we lost our ducks nearly every year.

Yes, I have easter vaccation

Hey
It's getting quiet around here...
Sofie: For how long did you stay in Ansbach with your grandma? Do you like the riding?
I also want to go riding horses, but I haven't got enough time for that :(

I was surfing around the internet ans saw this video:

It seems, that the coyote was helding like a pet. I didn't know that this was possible.:eusa_think:
But the coyote is really well trained I think ;) He listen to it's owner.
Oh, I read in the comment it isn't a real coyote, only a half. The other half is husky

I stayed from Thursday to Sunday.
The riding was good, my horse was scared one time and jumped (zur seite gesprungen ?! :eusa_eh:). I nearly fell down

Hi out there!
What's going in? It's quiet here.
how's your egg from your runner duck, sofi? How much ducks do you have?
Yesterday was the first school day after holiday. We were organized (ist this the right word for "eingeteilt"?:eusa_think:) in other laboratorys.
Before the holidays I was in the virology laboratory for four weeks. It was very interesting.
Now I'm in the toxicology. I think it is getting interesting.
We analyze samples, if there is a poison in it.
We test the samples on fruit flies, fishes (only by water contamination) and sometimes also on mice. But we only testing samples on mice, if we can't proof the absence of a toxic substance. The last 20 years, the laboratory didn't need the mice for testing :D
On Friday I will have the last english lesson. So this week it's the last time I have to learn vocabulary.

Greetings
Jessica

Hej

I have 18 eggs now, mybe she "hid" some. She is crazy, I use to take the eggs out in the morning and lay a chicken egg back because she doesn't breed, If i left them in the Nest they would get cold and "die". Today I looked in the nest and i thought what the f**k happend, there were 3 eggs. I looked closer and "digged". She made like layers, like straw - eggs- straw - eggs - straw - eggs. It really looked like the other disappeared. Her nest is like a underground system

I have 3 runner ducks. Usally a duck starts breeding when she has about 13 to 16 eggs. I have 18 and she doesnt. Today I try to make incubator by myself.

I tried yesterday, first I bought a hygrometer and then put it with a "red-light lamp" in a styropor box.
The lamp made the box so warm that the cover melted ... And the hygrometer is also broken. The glass cover and the plastic on the back melted...

Now I have to buy a new one and I will buy a lamp socket (lampenfassung).

I still have 1,5 hours at work and then I 'll go to the dog park. Hazel loves to play with her ball and jump in the water. Unfortunatly, Coco does not play so much with other dogs. But maybe with the time she'll learn I'm not going to leave her there;). The weather is just beautiful out there and I'm looking forward to go out with the girls :D.

I sit here in Shorts and a t-shirt:mrgreen: It's very sunny and warm here. The sky is blue and it hasn't got clouds:mrgreen:
After the summer holidays, I will go to London with my best friends:mrgreen: That will be great!

and, I must learn English.. my English isn't very good..:(

Thats why we are here;). Maybe you can write a little bit more.

 • English only! Beitrag #217
Hmm... he doesn't live here yet, but he lives in the same town by another hostfamily! Has anyone here made an exchange year or does anyone had an exchange student at home?
so maybe we can talk about it, because it's our first exchange student at home! ;) however last year there was a girl from Kanada in my class and this year we have one from China! it's very interesting to learn more about foreign cultures in other countries. but that's not the same as a host sibling. fortunately, we get along great so I'm looking forward to have him as my host brother! at first, I was a little bit worried if we're to different, but happily my fear was unnecessary!

 • English only! Beitrag #218
He is from Australia, right? I would be excited too. I was never an exchange student and my family never hosted one. I bet it's pretty cool. How long will he stay?

 • English only! Beitrag #219
yes, he is from Australia. that's the point... now, we don't know exactly when he comes. but maybe he will move in july.. so he will stay here for 6 months until he goes back to Australia.. ;) we will see! in two weeks he and his hostfamily will come to our home, to discuss these things..
and when he's back home, we will host another exchange student.. but we don't know who it is yet..

 • English only! Beitrag #220
So he is in another family now? Have you ever been an exchange student?
