yes exactly! he's here since january, because he is from Australia.. normally the exchange students come in summer because they have holidays to.. but in Australia the summer is in december, january...

no, I don't know... I've never had the idea to do an exchange year so I've never been one ... that's a shame! :lol:

It's not a shame, a lot of people were no exchange students. Maybe you have time later, to go to a foreign country and live and work there.

Australia is cool. I've never been there, but my cousin lives somewhere on the coast. Maybe someday...would be great.

Well, I would totally love to live in Washington state near the coast. I like the rainy weathy. For travelling... Japan, Tibet, Iceland. West coast in the US and and and. There are so many interesting places. What about you? Where do you wanna travel?

I would be sooooo nervous on the first day in my new class. I'm not sure, if I could handle that.

Yeah you are right but I think If you come in a cool class, they are all interested in you and where you come from.

Yes that's right... but the days before the class start, I could not sleep. Maybe an exchange student writes about her/his experience.

@ysofiixx: you make a break for a year...so you finish your year (for example year 4) and then you do an exchange year and when you come back you do year 5... but I think you forget a lot things.. :silence: but normally it's no problem for them... we have 5 returned exchange students (Swiss people) and they are the best from the whole class! :uups:

Oh okay, that changes a lot. But I would not want to go in a lower class after my exchange.

My cousin made an exchange year last year, he also went to Finland. He went away after the 5th "High School" and now is is back and goes to the 7th class, so he made the 6th class in Finland.

Hee, I'm soo happy - had my last english test on Friday, hope that it went good or not too bad. But I'm so nervous, in around 20 days we have our final exams! oO

he had many problems in the beginning because his host family didn't speak english very well and he didn't knew any vocabulary in finnish (?), but afterwards he said that it was very exciting and interessting and cold!
